In a letter dated March 16, 2020 from Bishop Matano, with growing concerns and state government restrictions in social settings, all public Masses in the Diocese of Rochester are suspended until further notice effective immediately. Regarding Mass Intentions, Bishop Matano has asked all priests to offer Mass, each day, without the presence of the faithful; as to fulfill their scheduled Mass intentions.
We have purchased bright red safety cones for use at the entrances of outside steps into the church or Hall of St. Joseph’s. Please use the main parking lot entrance or the Hamilton Street entrance for times when there is snow or ice on the steps blocked by the safety cones. The side stairs going to the church are dry and safe in such bad weather. Thank you.
At the request of Bishop Matano a planning team has been formed of the parishes of Auburn and North Cayuga County. This team has met in July and August. The Parishes involved are Holy Family, Our Lady of the Snow, Sacred Heart/St. Ann, Saint Mary and St. Martha, St. Mary, St. Alphonsus and St. Joseph’s School. Our Lady of the Snow is represented by Diane Case of our Parish Council and Edward O’Neil of our Finance Committee along with Fr. Bill Darling, pastor.
